Manon Kahle

Manon Kahle (* 10 August 1980 in Putney, Vermont, USA) is an American actress. She has been living and working in Berlin (Germany) since 2003 and travels between Berlin, London and New York practicing her profession.

Biography

Manon Kahle studied acting, graphic design and French in Massachusetts, New York, Paris and Potsdam. She earned her BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Theater between 1998 and 2002 at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, USA. Her studies were put on hold during a year abroad at Estelle Garnier, Stage Acting Studio 34 in Paris during the year 2000. In the following year she completed an apprenticeship with Craig Simmons, Stella Musical Theater in Berlin. She also completed additional training in New York City.

Work

She gave a spectacular performance in Hong Kong with the Friends of the Italian Opera, Berlin in "The Pupil in the Lesson (Eugène Ionesco)".

Among her numerous appearances in television films shown on German and Austrian public television stations (ARD, ZDF, ORF), the following are particularly worthy of mention:

Kahle illustrated the German children's book Die Buddy Bären und der schneeweisse Elefant (literally English: The Buddy Bears and the Snow-White Elephant), written by Klaus Herlitz.

Private life

Kahne is married and lives and works primarily in Berlin. She speaks English, German and French. She practices dance and yoga and plays the Irish fiddle and piano. She is actively involved in the children's aid project, Buddy Bear Help.
